WHY USE BIRDBALL?
Birdball is an excellent substitute for holes in old trees and disappearing hedgerows.
Its unique design works by replicating their nest shape.
WHAT BIRDS USE BIRDBALL?
Birdball is designed for Blue Tits, Coal Tits, Marsh Tits and Long
Tailed Tits.
The hole is large enough to allow small birds in but keeps out predators.
WHAT IS BIRDBALL MADE FROM?
Birdball is slipcast from frost resistant terracotta and semi porclain clay and made in the UK.
SUSPENDING YOUR BIRDBALL
Once you have found a suitable strong branch, simply slide open the wire loop
(1) and hook it securely onto the tree (2).Alternatively, pass the wire over a strong
branch and slide open the loop (4), then gently lower the ball through the loop
allowing the wire to pull taut against the branch (5). Always use the protective
tubing provided when suspending birdball from trees and shrubs to prevent
damage to bark (3).

WALL MOUNTING YOUR BIRDBALL
Birdball can easily be fixed to a flat surface using the specially designed
bracket.
Simply follow the instructions below:
IS THE HOLE BIG ENOUGH?
The hole is large enough to allow easy access for Blue Tits, Coal Tits, Marsh Tits
and Long Tailed Tits, but small enough to keep out predators.

DOES IT SWING AROUND?
Birdball will naturally sway in windy conditions.
It has been tested in extreme weather
conditions for a number of years,
with many birds returning annually to nest. It should
be placed in a sheltered position out of direct sunlight and prevailing winds where it can
hang unhindered at least 5 feet from the ground.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CLEAN IT OUT?
You can remove old nesting material from Birdball between October and November
and rinse out with hot water. Never use bleach, detergent or any other
harsh cleaning
products. We recommend keeping your Birdball in postion during
the winter as many birds
continue to use their Birdball for
shelter during colder months. To clean out your birdball
follow the instructions below:
