Part of our perfectly imperfect collection, the etched Bee Brick, or faced Bee Brick, is designed to be personalised with your own message. However as a second these bricks are not finished to our normal high standard, although they'll still provide a perfect nesting site for the solitary bees in your garden for many years to come. If you can forgive a few slight imperfections, such as air bubbles and the odd chip here and there then this is a chance to grab a slight second at up to 60% off our normal retail price.
The perfectly imperfect faced Bee Brick™ is designed and made by Green&Blue in the UK.
Made in Cornwall from concrete, using up to 75% waste material from the Cornish China clay industry.
Imperfections vary but will not affect the performance of your Bee Brick.

The Bee Brick™ should be positioned in a warm sunny spot, south facing, with no vegetation in front of the fascia. Ideally placed at least 1 metre from the ground with no upward limit.
Bee Brick™ is solid at the back and has moulded cavities where the bees will lay their eggs, sealing the entrance with mud or chewed up vegetation. Offspring emerge in the Spring and begin the process of nesting again, repeating the cycle.
Solitary bees are facing a dramatic decline in numbers due to disease, an increase in chemical use and habitat loss. Pollinators account for 1/3 of the food we eat and are a vital part of our environment. The Bee Brick™ can be used in urban spaces and places where there may not be alternative nesting sites for bees, either built into a wall or building or simply stood alone in a garden or allotment. Solitary bees are harmless and will not sting you unless you handle them roughly, even then their stings are not painful, meaning they are safe to encourage around pets and children.
