There are mixed opinions about maintaining and cleaning your bee house between seasons, with very little investigation actually undertaken. This is an area that we are looking to work with the Environment and Sustainability Institute at the University of Exeter to further test.
Currently, pending further experimentation, we say that if you choose to clean your Bee Brick or Bee Block bee house between seasons then just ensure that the nest has definitely either failed or emptied. One of the benefits of the Green&Blue Bee Brick bee house over the wooden and bamboo options is that concrete will not rot or deteriorate over time in the same way as those other materials, making it a good, year round choice and a material that solitary bees have chosen to create their nests within for many years.

Once the brick is installed in the house you not going to be able to tap it on the table. would compressed air work? After using a bottle brush to scrape it out.
