Housebuilder integrates innovative Beeposts into its landscaping.
Redrow Homes have announced that it will become the first company in the world to incorporate Green&Blue's Beeposts at its Potters Lea development in Kingsteignton in Devon. Green&Blue which created the Beeposts, is a family run business founded in 2005 by husband and wife team Kate and Gavin Christman. Based in the coastal town of Perranporth, Cornwall, the couple followed their passion for designing beautiful, stylish products that help wildlife, focusing primarily on products for birds and bees.
Sales and marketing manager at Green&Blue, Faye Clifton, says: "We're so pleased to be working with Redrow Homes on this world first installment of the Beepost. The innovative Beepost brings countless benefits to communities; they're extremely visual and the sculptured piece can be incorporated into any communal area or used as a beautiful free-standing landscaping statement piece. There are also clear links between interacting with wildlife and improved mental health, something that the Beeposts will help to integrate more widely into the Potters Lea community. Solitary bees are fascinating to watch and it's a wonderful way to get children involved with wildlife because solitary bees are non-aggressive and won't sting." Commenting on the installation of the Beeposts, head of sales at Redrow West Country, Annie Williams said: It's such an honour to be involved in a project like this that will really help to connect this new thriving community with the environment. It's a great opportunity for Redrow to introduce such an innovative piece of design, and a privilege to be the first company globally to showcase this product."
