Our Story

On a mission to make homes havens for wildlife

Green&Blue was founded in 2005 by husband-and-wife team Kate and Gavin Christman, inspired by a love of nature and a belief that beautiful design could help wildlife thrive.

Since then, Green&Blue has grown into a multi-award-winning range of habitats for bees, birds, bats and hedgehogs.

In spring 2023, Green&Blue became part of Wildcare, bringing together two teams with a shared purpose: to give nature a home and help wildlife thrive.

Today, we continue to make the original designs using the same thoughtful approach and manufacturing methods that Kate and Gavin pioneered, while building on Wildcare’s long-standing work supporting ecologists, conservation projects and wildlife professionals across the UK.

Design the way nature intended

Every Green&Blue product is made in the Cotswolds, UK, with a focus on innovation, simplicity and sustainability. Our products are designed to sit beautifully in homes, gardens and buildings, while providing safe spaces for wildlife to nest.

The Green&Blue name is inspired by rolling green hills, clear blue skies and time well spent outdoors — all reminders of why nature is worth protecting.

A business with a purpose

Wildlife is at the heart of what we do. It's our driving force, and it shapes every product we make.

Across the UK, green spaces and natural habitats are under pressure. As construction increases and gardens become more managed, many species are losing the places they need to feed, breed and shelter. We believe businesses have a responsibility to respond to that crisis with action.

As part of Wildcare, Green&Blue is connected to more than 20 years of experience supporting ecologists, construction professionals and wildlife projects. Together, we provide the tools, products and inspiration that help wildlife and habitats not just survive, but flourish.

Giving nature a home

By rethinking how construction materials are designed and how gardens are planned, we can create places where people and nature thrive side by side. A bee brick in a wall, a bat block built into a home, a hedgehog link between gardens - small changes can create vital connections for wildlife.
