Win a Father's day gift | For garden loving dads

Fancy treating the father in your life this Father's day? (That's June 21st, 2020 for anyone who's lost all track of days and dates!!)

We're delighted to bring you a little competition, just in time for this years' Father's Day.

How to enter.

Simply tell us, in the comments below, about why the garden-loving dad in your life deserves a treat. It could be your dad, your husband, brother, cousin, uncle, we want to know who and why you think they might deserve a little gift.

We'll be reading your comments and choosing a worthy winner to receive a Bee Brick solitary bee house from the Green&Blue range in plenty of time for this year's Father's day.

And if you fancy more ways to win then we're running the same competition on our Facebook page and our Instagram account, and in partnership with a few of our favourite accounts over on IG too, we'll be sharing details of those in our stories!

Phew, so many ways to win! Good luck, we can't wait to read your nominations.

My dad has found comfort in his garden over lockdown. He owns a hairdressing business and it is a very uncertain time so he has spent a lot of time making his garden a nice place and good for when lockdown is over for all the grandkids!

It would be for my husband – we got our first (very overgrown!) allotment about 4 weeks ago – he has worked every spare hour to get it to a point where we can grow stuff and getting our first salad bits. He did this despite still working full time! I’d love to give this to him to say thank you and give him something for the allotment x

This would be great for my dad. He spends most of the year (like 10 months) living in a holiday home in West Wales. He has a beautiful decking with planters and patches of wild flowers around his home which he tends that are always full of bees and butterflies. I think this would be wonderful for him and his visitors.

My stepdad is a highly at-risk cop, so is having to spend more time at home than usual as he tries to work from home and keep engaged with his community beat. He loves being out in the garden though, and is a massive fan of wildlife (birds are his favourite, but the bees too 🐝). I’m sure these bee bricks would be the perfect compliment to the wildflower mini-meadow he’s been wanting to create at the back of their house!

My husband used to hollow out branches for our mining bees but with arthritis in his fingers setting in he can’t do it any more. The bees have moved to our gate making it a little hairy using it. It would be lovely to give them something to lay their eggs in that’s a bit more peaceful.
