2020's World Environment Day theme is biodiversity

The theme for this year's World Environment Day is 'Time for Nature' - something which many of us have been fortunate to have recently.

So how can we ensure that we make that time in the future, that we cherish our natural world, and do everything we can to protect it? We thought we'd pull together a few ideas to get you inspired.

Our Gardens.

We CAN make a difference in our own gardens. Grow don't mow, plant with consideration, avoid chemicals, create a pond, leave a gap for hedgehogs to come and go. Small and simple steps but powerful! Check out our blog post on how to create a wildlife friendly garden for more inspiration.

Supporting wildlife charities.

There are many great organisations working to protect biodiversity. Can you get involved? Can you support? Check out 30 days wild from the Wildlife Trusts.

Action.

Use today to commit to action. To commit to making your garden more wildlife friendly or to supporting litter picks or beach cleans, make a pledge and a commitment and you are much more likely to succeed. If you're looking for inspiration then check out our blog post with 5 changes you could make.

And what about us at Green&Blue?

Well, we're more committed than ever to making our little business the best it can be for people and for planet.

As a certified B-Corp we have a duty of care for our planet and all within. This year, as things start to calm down, we will be focussing on science, measuring, governance and our carbon footprint. We'll keep you posted along the way and if you ever have questions for us then please just drop us a line.

We might not be able to change the world but we believe we can make a difference. Do you?
