The power of a solitary bee

  We came across this video the other day that really shows the incredible power, strength and determination of a solitary bee, a red mason bee in this case. Faced with a nail covering the hole in which she planned to nest, or perhaps had already begun to nest, she did not give up, oh no!     Bee bricks are inspired by the natural way in which solitary bees nest and, as long as you don't stick nails in the cavities (!), they make a natural and easy home for solitary bees, in particular mason bees and leaf cutter bees.
