Win a Father's day gift | For garden loving dads

Fancy treating the father in your life this Father's day? (That's June 21st, 2020 for anyone who's lost all track of days and dates!!)

We're delighted to bring you a little competition, just in time for this years' Father's Day.

How to enter.

Simply tell us, in the comments below, about why the garden-loving dad in your life deserves a treat. It could be your dad, your husband, brother, cousin, uncle, we want to know who and why you think they might deserve a little gift.

We'll be reading your comments and choosing a worthy winner to receive a Bee Brick solitary bee house from the Green&Blue range in plenty of time for this year's Father's day.

And if you fancy more ways to win then we're running the same competition on our Facebook page and our Instagram account, and in partnership with a few of our favourite accounts over on IG too, we'll be sharing details of those in our stories!

Phew, so many ways to win! Good luck, we can't wait to read your nominations.

My dad is 89 and still does a lot of the gardening himself, and as he’s got older it’s been a nice way for us to spend time together. He is a country boy at heart and has always loved nature. This would make a great Father’s Day present for him.

During lockdown, and being over 70, we have been at home a great deal and not able to see our sons and their families. My husband has been working extremely hard on our garden so that we have a lovely place to sit and enjoy. He has made sure we have lots of colours and wildlife friendly plants and also filling greenhouse and raised vegetable beds with varieties of vegetables we can enjoy in a few weeks. We are very keen on encouraging and welcoming bees especially to the garden and would love to wrap up this bee brick for Father’s Day as our sons won’t be able to get to be with him. Thankyou.

My dad has been trying for years to keep bees again but we have struggled to get hold of any swarms. He has spent endless hours building his own bee houses using rolled up paper, having a dedicated one would be amazing for him!

My dad has COPD a lung condition, which makes him very vulnerable to coronavirus and has been on a strict shielding at home. Since being at home he has rediscovered the garden and even ordered a bird and nature book online. He has created a little bird bath using some old bowls resting on bricks and has dug out his binoculars out the loft to nature watch. He has been pestering mum for some bee loving plants and has even begun plans to create a small wildlife wild flower meadow at the top of the garden. They have both been really enjoying being outside and it has kept their minds off not being able to see their grandchild and enjoy time with their family. The nature has been a welcome relief to the news and I get daily telephone updates on the animal activities. I would love to give my dad a special treat, as he often comments on my bee bricks in my house.

I think my dad would love to look at the bees living in one of these bee houses with my niece and nephew. He loves his garden and likes to get the kids to take an interest too.
